Happy I do Day!!!

Hi everyone,

I thought I would show you another card that I made for Novembers Stamp a Stack that uses the fabulous Bird Punch. Not much to talk about with the card - it is pretty straight forward. I have used Marina Mist and Soft Suede as a colour combination - not one I would normally go to but I think it works very effectively.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Style Beautiful, Word Play
Paper: Marina Mist, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla
Ink: Soft Suede, Marina Mist
Other: Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Lots of Tags Sizzlets, Wide Oval Punch, Basic Rhinestones.

Santa's Little Helper

Hi everyone,

I have been playing around with Punch Art - must be something to do with next months classes. Anyway I have wanted to make an Elf and I have had several attempts but nothing really made me think this looks like an Elf. One card made the little guy look like something from outer space. Another one made him look like a pig!!!

Anyway whilst Blurfing I found this really cool Elf on Marie Shaughnessy's blog that she did last year. Now her little guy was so cool that I didn't change much on him. Also she has done the hard work for you and her entry includes all the punch art pieces that you need - thank you so much Marie.

This cute little fella is part of my Christmas Stamp A Stack class that I am running next month. I have classes on either Monday 22nd November (10.00am start), Wednesday 24th November (7.30pm start) or Thursday 25th November (7.30pm start). Come and make 10 cards for $25 (or $20 if you bring your own adhesive). Includes envelopes and embellishments if used.

Just Add Style

Hi everyone,

A rather strange title but there you have it. I don't do many challenges, I always seem to run out of time and when I do have time I make a card and I am never happy with it - but this time I have decided to enter anyway. Over on Just Add Ink their challenge this week is a colour challenge.

This is my take on it.

Now if you look at the sets I have used you will understand the title of this post.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Elements of Style, Style Beautiful
Paper: Sahara Sand, Bashful Blue, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Ink: Black Stazon, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Bashful Blue, Sahara Sand
Other: Scallop Oval Punch, Wide Oval Punch, Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, Dimensionals.

Season of Joy

Hi everyone,

Thought I would pop on here and show you three of the cards for my Christmas Stamp A Stack class this week. I am excited that my Thursday night class is full - but I still have space in my Wednesday night class. So if you would like to get a move on with your Christmas cards contact me to book your spot. For $25 (or $20 if you bring your own adhesive), you will walk away with 10 cards (5 of one set - Season of Joy and 5 of another - Snow Swirled) and SU!'s envelopes. Alternatively why not book me for a fun filled workshop?

Here I have used Always Artichoke and Riding Hood Red with some Early Espresso as a mat.

Florence Nightingale anyone?

Hi everyone,

Just another quick one. After seeing the cute Nurse and Dr Owl's on Kerry Buntings blog I decided I had to CASE them - well just the Nurse Owl. I have decided that half of my designs for next months Stamp A Stack will involve using the Owl Punch and the Bird Punch - along with the new set Word Play.

Here is my version of the Nurse.

I think she is lovely - but that is my opinion. What do you think?

I think this card could also be used as an appreciation for all the hard work that the wonderful nursing staff do. I have first hand knowledge of this - don't I?  Or I was thinking, and I can say it because I know my sister doesn't check my blog, but I will make this card for her (with a different sentiment) when she graduates from her nursing degree next year. She has always wanted to be a nurse and now that she is in her mid 40's she has finally made it. Goes to show you want something badly enough it can and will happen.

Owl Punch goes Penguin

Hi everyone,

I have been having a play with my new Owl Punch for some ideas for Novembers Stamp a Stack. I just love the whole blogging universe because there are some incredibly talented ladies out there who post their work and don't mind telling you how they did it. I am madly searching who I got the idea off for the penguins but naturally can't find it - so if someone reads this blog and can tell me where I can find the link I will post a link to the lovely ladies site.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Word Play, Punch Pals
Paper: Real Red, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Basic Black, Tangerine Tango
Ink: Baja Breeze, Real Red and Baja Breeze Stampin' Write Markers
Other: XL Owl Punch, Polka Dot Impressions Folder, Lots of Tags Sizzlets, 1/4" Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon, 1/4" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon.

Friends Never Fade

Hi everyone,

Thought I would show you the other set of cards I am doing for this weeks SAS. Now I have to say I have had major creative block with the set Friends Never Fade. I am not sure if it is to do with the DSP Greenhouse Gala that matches this set or what. Anyway this is what I came up with.

Yes - that is Daffodil Delight - a colour I thought I would never use (I do not like yellow!!).

Simply Said

Hi everyone,

Well the school holidays are over and DD6 seems to have recovered from her illness so it was back to as normal as it can be around here today.

I decided that I needed to redesign 4 of my cards for this weeks SAS class. Here is what I originally had planned.

Not too bad but not too great either. Keeping the same In Colours of Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz I came up with these ones instead.

I don't know why but I thought the cards needed something extra - what do you think?

Party this Way

Hi everyone,

Just a quick one today before I go and park my bottom in front of the TV. I love my motor sport and this weekend I am particularly spoiled as we have our Bathurst 1000 V8 race. Originally my DH and I were planning to go up for race day but my ankle put a dampener on that. Oh well there is always next year. Anyway we have the top 10 shoot out later on today and I want to make sure I don't miss any of it.

This card is a shameless CASE of Marelle Taylor. It is my BIL's birthday on Monday and we will be seeing him tomorrow so rather than make a card at the complete last minute I actually made it today.

Such a happy and bright card. I am looking forward to actually having a big play with this set. I can feel lots of ideas coming so stay tuned.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Party this Way
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Real Red
Ink: Pacific Point, Real Red, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip
Other: Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Scallop Trim Border, 1/4" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals.

Stamping on Candles

Hi everyone,

I know I haven't updated my blog for a while and the only excuse I have is my kids have been sick. Why is it when it is school holidays they get sick? Poor DD6 had a temp of 39.7 C (that is 103.4 F). She is however on the mend I hope.

I have also been busy organising projects for an upcoming retreat that I am running workshops at. I have been asked to run the craft corner and will be doing 5 different workshops. I thought I would show you one of the workshops. Each lady who comes to the workshop will get to "Stamp" on two candles and make a box to put them in.

I forgot how easy and how much fun it is to do these. If you are interested in holding a workshop I would be more than happy to show you and your friends how to do this. Just contact me to arrange a date.

'Til next time,

Juliette
