Hi everyone,

Can you believe that Sale A Bration is nearly over? Wow what a quick couple of months that has been. I just want to quickly show you a couple of cards I made recently using Punch Bunch. My two gorgeous daughters have been going to a lot of Birthday Parties lately so I made a couple of cards up in advance.

"It's my Birthday today. I'm older than yesterday!"

Hi everyone,

If you are now all singing Justine Clarkes song I apologise. It also means that you have young children and will continue to sing this song for a while yet...

Yes it is my Birthday today. Yes I am older (although probably not wiser) than yesterday. Last night I celebrated with some of my good friends and we went out for dinner. Would you like to check out the cake that we had?

Here is a close view of the side.

Rather than take a cake and then pay per slice I thought I would make a cake out of cardstock and fill it with yummy Dove chocolate. It was well received. After trolling through cake slice templates on the net I ended up making up my own. The only downside was that I don't have a scanner and couldn't put the template onto the computer so that I could just print it onto the cardstock. I have a lovely friend who will help me do this so stay tuned and I will add my template to my blog so you can download and make your own.
Do you want to see some of the lovely cards that I got? Nearly everyone that came to dinner last night makes their own cards so I got some gorgeous ones. Not all are using Stampin' Up! product but that means I can look at their cards and work out what SU! products I would use to make them.

This first card is from my bestie Sam. She made me a Never Ending card. If you would like to check out how to make one then look at this link on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAVAzDtcdw0 .

Sam has used the SAB set Punch Bunch along with Trendy Trees. SU! colours used are So Saffron, Perfect Plum, Regal Rose, Whisper White. (Oops I have been reliably told that the colours are So Saffron, Perfect Plum, Rose Red and Very Vanilla!!!). It is absolutely gorgeous and I must have a go at making my own. I love it to bits. The little card next to it holds a voucher for a dress shop so I can go shopping.

The next card I am going to show you is from my other bestie Amanda.
Her attention to detail is stunning.
The next card is from the lovely Michelle W

How gorgeous is this? Not only has she maed the card and yes cut the flowers out by hand but she made the envelope as well!!! The inside is even lined in DSP.

My next card is from one of my very talented down lines Michelle C

I have wanted to make a card like this for ages but have never got around to it. Isn't it just perfect?

My next card is from the very clever and talented Mel - if you think this card is great you should check out her scrap booking. OMG is all I can say.

My next card is from one of my good customers Kylie.

It is so nice to see Happy Moments from last years SAB being used.

Last but not least I have a card from another very good customer and sister to my bestie Sam - Kristy P.

All in all I have to say I have done very well and I am very lucky!!!

Thanks for looking.

Easel Card Treat Box with Tutorial.

Hi everyone,

It has been a while since I last posted. I thought I would pop by to show you a little easel card treat box that I have made. The size of the card on top is a standard sized card

This is one that I made using the gorgeous Vintage Vogue. A set that I really love but somehow forget I have it - until I see someone else has used it. The photography isn't great and it looks like I have used River Rock but I can assure you that I have used Sahara Sand and Perfect Plum. The large flowers have all been stamped from inking up the stamp just once. I love that you can have more than one colour from the ink pad when you do it this way.

This second one is one that I made to help with a small tutorial that you will find further in the post. I have used the beautiful SAB set Bliss with Rich Razzleberry and Pink Pirouette.

The box itself is just a pizza box but due to the size that I have made it you actually need two pieces of card stock.

To make the box I cut two pieces of card stock to 21.8cm X 17.5cm

This picture shows the measurements and the score lines. This is a picture of the bottom of the box. I cut my tabs making sure that I had cut away some wedges to help the tabs sit properly in the box.

This picture shows the top of the box. Note I have cut away two of the tabs completely. You will use the section left to adhere to the box base to make your lid.

Assemble the box bottom using Sticky Strip.

Attach the box top using Sticky Strip.

You should have a box that will look like this when it is open. You may have noticed that I have punched a small semi circle on the box lid. This helps with the opening of the box. If you are going to do this, do it before you assemble the box. Trust me I have learned from experience!!!

I then made an easel card to attach to the top of the box. The measurements for the easel card are 1 piece of card stock at 14.3cm X 20cm - this is for the base. You will need to fold that in half so that you have a card that measures 14.3cm X 10cm.

Next you will want to fold one side of the card in half - this is for the easel.

Lastly attach a piece of card that measures 14.3cm X 10cm  to your easel and attach it to the box. Note it is probably better that you make your card face first before attaching everything - that way if you do make a mistake all is not lost!!! Once again I have learned from experience!!!

Anyway thanks for looking. If you do use this tutorial to make your own - let me know I would love to see pictures!!!

Party This Way

Hi everyone,

Well it seems that the never ending amount of Birthday invitations have started to pile in. DD6 was actually invited to two parties on the same day at the same time so that was quite difficult to work out which one to go to.

In my Stamp A Stack for this month we will be using the stamp set Party This Way. This is such a versatile set and there are endless possibilities. If you would like to come to class I have vacancies on both Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th (from 7.30pm). Cost is $25 or $20 if you bring your own adhesive. You will get to make 4 cards using Party This Way and another 4 using a different set. That is a total of 8 cards including envelopes, ribbons, brads etc. All card stock is pre-cut for you too - so you don't have to worry about that. Contact me if you would like to attend.

Thanks for looking.

'Til next time,

Sweet Summer

Hi everyone,

Now that Summer has finished it seems a bit strange to have this as a blog title. Also after the Summer that Australia and New Zealand have had we can't exactly say that it has been 'sweet' can we?

Sweet Summer is the name of one of my favorite Sale-A-Bration stamp sets that are completely free when you spend $100 (before postage) on Stampin' Up! product. In last months Stamp A Stack we combined Sweet Summer with another SAB set So Happy for You.

If you would like to get your hands on any of the SAB sets for free you only have until the end of this month.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Sweet Summer (SAB 2011), So Happy For You (SAB 2011)
Paper: Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Pretty in Pink, Concord Crush, Whisper White, In Colour DSP Pack.
Ink: Black Stazon, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait, Concord Crush, Pretty In Pink
Other: Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Blender Pen, Dimensionals.

Thanks for looking.

'Til next time,

Juliette
