ESAD Autumn - Winter 2011 Mini Blog Hop

Hi everyone,

It is time for another ESAD blog hop. This time we are focusing on the fabulous products available in our Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue.

What is ESAD I hear you ask?

ESAD stands for Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators and it is an online group just for Australian and New Zealand demonstrators for Stampin’ Up!

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors but we share our love for what we do with each other as Demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know how and cyberstamps and we are always there to help and support each other when its needed.

So if you are a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand then please feel free to click here to join our wonderful group.

You may have arrived here from the fantastic blog of Kayleigh. If not, not to worry as this is a blog hop all you need to do is click on the link of the next person that is listed at the end of each entry to go all the way around. I can tell you there will be some fantastic creations so if you can, please check out all of the blogs involved. Oh and leave comments if you can as well love comments!!!

Now onto my creations. When I saw the mini catalogue I just had to get the set "Bring on the Cake". This set is fabulous as there are 13 stamps all with fantastic phrases that can be used either as a focal point for a card, scrapbook page or 3D item, or used as a sentiment.

I decided to make up some 3" X 3" cards show casing 4 of the stamps. Naturally I had to make up a set for girls and a set for boys. I have two young children who are constantly going to parties so these 3" X 3" cards are fantastic to add to the gift.

Here is the first set.

I couldn't pass up the combination of Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink. Perfect for little girls!!! You may also notice that I have used some of the fabulous Daffodil Delight pom pom trim that is available in the mini  catalogue. Let me tell you a little goes a long way.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Bring on the Cake, Party this Way
Paper: Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo DSP, Pretty in Pink DSP, Whisper White.
Inks: All are Stampin' Write Makers - Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Daffodil Delight
Other: 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Daffodil Delight Pom Pom Trim, Dimensionals

I also made a small box to pop the cards in. This would make a fabulous gift to give to friends who are in the same situation as I am.

The second set uses the colours from the Celebrations DSP that is available in our main IB&C. I took my inspiration from Ilina Crouse a fabulous demo from the other side of the world. These colours are perfect for boys cards!!!

Mateials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Bring on the Cake
Paper: Real Red, Bashful Blue, Pear Pizzazz, Pacific Point, Whisper White, Celebrations DSP.
Ink: All Stampin' Write Makers - Pear Pizzazz, Pacific Point, Real Red, Bashful Blue.
Other: 1/4" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, 1/4" Certainly Celery Grosgrain Ribbon.

You may be asking about the little boxes I made to pop them in. Well I got the idea from Marelle Taylor and you use two Scallop Envelope Dies and piece of cardstock that measures 19.6cm X 4cm. You score that piece of cardstock at 5.7cm & 13.9cm and it forms the bottom and sides of the box. Depending upon how much you embellish the cards you can fit anywhere from 4 to 7 into the little box.

My next card is also using the set "Bring on the Cake". Now I have to say when I first saw the image that I used on this card I did not like it. Having said that I have huge difficulties with masculine cards (unless they are for little boys), and this image is perfect for that painful masculine card.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Bring on the Cake
Paper: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze, Elegant Soiree DSP
Ink: Soft Suede
Other: Big Shot, Square Lattice EF, Crop A Dile  Brass Jumbo Eyelets, Hemp Twine

Lastly I have made another masculine card using the A La Carte stamp "Motorcycle". Now I am a mad motorsports fan - cars or bikes it doesn't matter - so I just had to have this stamp and at only $13.95 it is a bargain. I have lots of ideas for this stamp so be warned there will be more cards to follow over the coming months but for now here is just one.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Motorcycle, Bring on the Cake
Paper: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze, Elegan Soiree DSP
Ink: Soft Suede
Other: Big Shot, Frame Tulips EF, Sixxiz Ovals Die, Crimper, Crop a Dile, Pewter Eyelets, Sponge Dauber.
