Growing Green

Hi everyone,

Just thought I would pop by and show you another card I have made using the floating re-inker technique. This time I have used the set Growing Green. This is such a lovely set but unfortunately hasn't seen much ink.

I really love this card - not sure if it is the colours or just  the simplicity of it.

Materials Used:
Stamps: Growing Green, Just Believe
Paper: Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz DSP, Shimmery White
Ink: Concord Crush, Perfect Plum, Pear Pizzazz
Other: Heat Tool, White Embossing Powder, 1/2" Concord Crush Stiched Poly Ribbon, Big Shot
Non SU!: Nestabilities Scallop Circle, Large and Small Circles.

Thanks for looking.

Fun with Re-inker's

Hi everyone,

Just popping by to show you some fun that I have been having with the floating re-inker technique.

I must apologise for the quality of the photo. It is a bit blurry.

I love this technique. There is something fun about watching the ink spread with the water. I will worn you there are a couple more cards coming using this technique. If you want to make a quick card this is probably not the way to do it. A few steps are involved plus the drying time. However if you are well organised and do a few flowers at a time then you will be able to make up a few more cards really quickly.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral
Paper: Rose Red, Regal Rose, Whisper White, Old Olive, Watercolour paper
Ink: Rose Red, Regal Rose, So Saffron, Versamark
Other: Big Shot, Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder, Little Leaves Sizzlet Die, 5/8" Old Olive Satin Ribbon, Dimensionals, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool.

Thanks for looking.

Kimono Kids

Hi everyone,

I know I am a little late. I said that I would show this second set of cards for my Stamp A Stack yesterday but unfortunately the best laid plans just didn't happen.

Anyway here they are.

I still have spaces for tomorrow night if you are interested.

Strength & Hope

Hi everyone,

Just a quick one to show you 4 of the cards that are in my Stamp A Stack class this week. We are using the gorgeous set Strength & Hope that is available in the Autumn/ Winter Mini Catalogue. Stampin' Up! are donating $2 per stamp set sold to the Breast Cancer Foundation. Now if you ever needed an excuse to purchase a stamp set here is one. The cost of the set is $35.95 (wood mount) or $28.95 (clear mount). If you would like to order this set through me, I will waive the normal shipping fee of $5.95 on it. If you would like to play with the set prior to purchasing then why not join me on Wednesday or Thursday evening this week. In my Stamp A Stacks you make 8 cards for $25 (or $20 if you bring your own adhesive). All cardstock is pre-cut and the cost of the class includes envelopes and ribbons required. Contact me to book your spot.

I will post the other 4 cards that we are making tomorrow.

Thanks for looking.

Because I Care - a birthday card

Hi everyone,

Well it has been a long time between posts. Only excuse - lack of mojo. All I can say is I am glad I have designed my classes for June already or I would be in serious trouble.

I just wanted to show you the Birthday card I made for my MIL. She loves hydrangeas so I thought I would ink up Because I Care. Here is what I came up with.

I used my Stampin' Write Markers of Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi to ink up the rubber. Such an easy way to get multiple colours of ink onto your stamp. If you look closely you will see that I have stamped the hydrangea onto a piece of scrap and the cut around part of it to layer with dimensionals onto the main image. If you don't mind cutting it is a good way to add that bit extra to your projects. You can't see it too well but I have also put Dazzling Diamonds onto the hydrangea as well. My bow is after watching Teneale Williams in action at convention. Ok so I didn't go to convention but check out her blog here. She makes it look so very easy.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Because I Care (Hostess Level 1), Bring on the Cake
Paper: Marina Mist, Whisper White, Certainly Celery
Ink: Marina Mist, Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi Stampin' Write Markers
Other: Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Dimensionals.

Thanks for looking.

'Til next time,

Juliette
