Wow is it December already?

Well hello there!

Surprise, surprise I am still here. Yes I am still a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Yes I am still creating, but I seem to be more mass producing things than little one offs etc. My role as Parents Group Convener at my girls school has taken up a lot of my time this year. Don't get me wrong I love it! I thoroughly enjoy organising Mothers Day and Fathers Day stalls, Disco's, Election BBQ's, helping out in Canteen and I am currently working on our annual Pantomime that we put on for our infants. So much fun!!! If you stay tuned you may see some photo's popping up later this week with regard to Panto.

Anyway, it is the 1st December and in my house that means my Christmas Tree must go up no matter what! This year I decided to hand make all my decorations. I started in August/September and I am happy to say that apart from the angel that sits on top I have done it! So without further ado here are my Snow Flurry and Ornament Keepsakes decorations.

I have completely fallen in love with the Winter Frost Specialty DSP and the colours in it so have used those colours for my decorations this year.

I'm hoping to get a picture to show you of my whole tree but I will have to wait as the sun is not cooperating!

Thanks for looking.

Label Love - finally some time for my blog!

Hi everyone,

Please don't faint but yes I am here with a couple of cards to show you. I took a little time out from making Fathers Day cards for school to make a couple of cards for my BIL and his wife, as we are going out tonight to celebrate their birthdays.

I bought Label Love when I was able to pre-order from this current catalogue but I am very sorry to say that I have only just mounted this cool stamp set.  I used the same stamp for both cards but as you can see the results rather different.

For my BIL's card I have used Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Old Olive and a touch of Chocolate Chip cardstock. The image was stamped in Chocolate Chip. I cut around the stamped image and then used the co-ordinating Artisan Label punch to punch out a piece of Chocolate Chip to mat it on. The Cajun Craze mat behind the stamped image is from the Chalk Talk Framelits. A rather simple but effective card I think.

This card uses Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo and Whisper White cardstock. The strips of DSP is from Gingham Garden - I don't currently own any washi tape so this is the next best option. The image was stamped in Melon Mambo and again cut around and then layered on a Daffodil Delight Mat. I used the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch as a mat for the whole image. I added a little Daffodil Delight 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and a flower punched out using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and bit of bling.

I have to say it was nice to step away from the Fathers Day cards for a little while. I only have about 140 to go so nearly there.

Thanks for looking.

EASD New Annual Catalogue Blog Hop

Hi everyone,

It is that time of the year when "us Demo's" get all very excited at the thought of brand new rubber!!! Yep the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue is launched today. My wish list is very long and I will need to pace myself.

It is time for ESAD to bring you another blog hop. If you have never heard of ESAD I am sure you are wondering what ESAD stands for. It stands for Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators and is an on-line group for Australian and New Zealand Demonstrators.

We love what we do and love to share with our customers, friends and wonderful blog visitors. We also share what we love in our ESAD community through swaps, challenges, sharing knowledge, ideas and friendship and we are always here to support each other.

So, if you are are a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in either Australia or New Zealand and would like to know more, please leave me a comment with your email address and I will contact you with information on how to join our wonderful group.

Now onto the fun stuff. As demonstrators we are lucky enough to purchase a few sneak peak  items from the catalogue before it goes on sale to everyone else. This blog hop is to show you these items. There are 25 of us on all so feel free to go and grab a cuppa before embarking on the hop. Please leave comments where you can. It is always nice to know that someone has actually appreciated what you have done.

You may have arrived here from the very talented Michelle. If not and you are starting from here don't worry you can click on the links on each of the posts and "hop" your way around all 25 of us. Most of us have also provided a full list of participants at the end of our posts just incase you get lost.

Now onto my items. I have to admit that unfortunately I ran out of time and mojo and only have a couple of things to show you.

My first two cards are using the set Mosaic Madness and it's co-ordinating punch (Mosaic Punch) and textured impressions embossing folder (Modern Mosaic). Don't you just love items that work so well together? For these cards I have used the set as an idea for Christmas Cards. You will notice that they are the same design but have different looks.

I have used Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green and Very Vanilla for my colours. The sentiment is from Delightful Dozen.

My second set of cards are using a new Hostess set Simply Sketched. This set comes with three images and three sentiments. I have used reverse masking for two of the cards and with the oval that was cut out of my masking sheet I have made a third card - not point in wasting anything is there?
I'll show you a close up of all three cards as the larger one doesn't show off the new in-colors very well.

The colours used for this card are Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Whisper White.

The colours used for this one are Baked Brown Sugar, Pistachio Pudding and Whisper White.

The colours used for this last card are Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana and Whisper White.

Don't you just love names of the new colours - not to mention the actual colours.

Anyway that is enough from me. Now it is time for you to "hop" over to another fabulous Michelle.

Best of 25 Years Stamp Sets - Best of Butterflies

Hi everyone,

I really have left my blog alone for far too long. Apart from not posting any projects that I have made (which are now too late as they all involve old and retired product), I haven't been updating it with the current specials that we have. To celebrate Stampin' Up's! 25th Anniversary they are releasing a set of stamps each month showing the best of certain stamps. This month it is the Best of Butterflies.

These stamps are available only in Clear Mount and are $25.95  for the set. A good bargain if you ask me. They will be available until April next year or until sold out whichever comes first.

It's time to Hop!!!!

Hi everyone,

Welcome to ESAD's 2013 SAB Blog Hop!!!

Before we start I can hear you asking yourself "What is ESAD?"

Well ESAD stands for "Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators" and it is an online group for just Australian and New Zealand Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends and wonderful blog visitors, but we share what we love for what we do with other demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know how and cyberstamps, and we are always there to help and support each other when it is needed.

So if you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator from either Australia or New Zealand , then please feel free to click here to join our wonderful group.

You may have arrived at my blog from the talented Narelle, but if you are starting here don't worry you will be able to hop all the way around just by clicking on the links that are provided on each blog post. I will also pop a full list of blogs, with links, that are participating today so if you get lost you can always use that to find your way around.

Now I suggest you go and get yourself a cuppa as there are 25 of us participating today. Please don't forget to leave comments. We love getting comments.

So without further ado here are my projects for you today.

I started off by thinking I wanted to use the gorgeous Sycamore Street DSP. What better way to showcase it than altering either a note book or a Diary? I managed to pick up a day to a page A5 diary for $5 and here I have a gorgeous diary for the year.

So then I remembered I had a heap of small tab calenders that I hadn't used so, I then made a desktop calender to match. The stamp set is the co-ordinating stamp set  Madison Avenue. No your eyes are not deceiving you I have used Summer Starfruit to stamp the images.
The cool thing about this calendar is that it can go flat for posting.

I still had a strip or two of the one sheet of DSP left so what else to do? Make a post-it note holder. I don't know about you but I go through a lot of post-it notes. I have made heaps of these post-it note holders but never one for me!!! Yes they are made with my own dimensions and if you would like a copy of my PDF to make one, just contact me and I will be happy to email to you for free. Please note that the dimensions are metric only.

So when all is done and you put them together you have a lovely desk set.

Materials Used:
Stamp Set: Madison Avenue (SAB 2013)
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party, Summer Starfruit,  Whisper White, Sycamore Street DSP (SAB 2013)
Ink: Summer Starfruit, Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade
Other: Scallop Trip Border Punch, Typeset Alphabet Bigz, 3/8" Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon
Rich Razzleberry Glimmer Brad (Brights collection), Circle Punch from Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

I then decided I should make some cards, so I decided to use the Madison Avenue Stamp set that co-ordinates with the Sycamore Street DSP. You will also notice the Vine Street Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Once again all co-ordinating. Don't you just love Stampin' Up! for that?

Materials Used:
Stamp Sets: Madison Avenue (SAB 2013), Curly Cute, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party, Whisper White,
Sycamore Street DSP (SAB 2013)
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Pool Party, Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade
Other: Dotted Scallop Border Ribbon Punch, Vine Street Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Smallest Die from Floral Frames Framelits, Flower Punch from Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, 3/8" Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon, 1/4" Rich Razzleberry Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I also got the set Feeling Sentimental, so I decided to make some cards using that set.

I just love the images in this set and I feel that they will be good for masculine cards. Having lived in the UK I remember telephone boxes looking like the one in the top card. Rather than just using the sentiment that came in the set I decided to use some that seemed more appropriate so I used Word Play.

Materials Used:
Stamp Sets: Feeling Sentimental, Word Play,
Paper: Crumb Cake, Riding Hood Red, Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy
Other: Linen Thread, Extra Large Oval Punch

Now it is time for you to hop off to check out what goodies the clever Rebecca has for you.

Thank you for looking.

'Til next time

A very Happy Belated New Year

Hi everyone,

Well I know it has been a month since my last post and I certainly didn't mean to stop my countdown to Christmas where I did, but I just got so over it all!!!

I just got to the stage that I couldn't bare to go into my craft room let alone finish a project, photograph it and then post it. Let's just say last year wasn't as balanced as I like it and I now realise that sometimes something has to give. Unfortunately for me that will have to be my crafting every now and then. I have also decided not to start my classes at the beginning of this year. I am going to take a break until March or April.

My blogging will also probably be a bit sporadic, but I do intend to try and do a few challenges during the months. I want my crafting to be for me. Having said that I am more than available to do workshops/parties and the like. Now that I won't be spending a lot of my time designing classes for the next couple of months I will have more time to design parties for those of you who would like one. Just contact me to check my availability.

Yesterday I actually stepped into my craft room and made some cards. I shamelessly cased the incredibly talented Jenny Moors from the UK.

The stamp set is Papillon Potpourri and the matching Butterfly Punch. The colours I used are Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze and Primrose Petals. The sentiment is from Create a Cupcake.

I just received my pre-order of product from the next seasonal catalogue that will be available from the 1st February, along with some fabulous free items from Sale-A-Bration that starts on the 22nd January. I can't wait to go and have a play so you never know I may be back within the month!!!

Thanks so much for looking and reading my rambles.

'Til next time,

Juliette
