Summer Solstice meets Stamping 411

Hi everyone,

Very hectic here at the moment. Day 4 of the school holidays and I am climbing the walls!!! Today my youngest is at pre-school (thankfully they don't close over the holidays), so for once I am not telling my girls to "calm down", "stop hitting each other", "be nice to your sister".

I managed to get a bit of stamping done and decided to go with the latest sketch challenge at Stamping 411. I don't make a lot of square cards (probably due to the fact that I don't like wastage), but here you are.

A rather simple card apart from the cutting but as I have mentioned before I like to cut. No sentiment as there wasn't enough room. The card itself is a 4" X 4" one. Check out the other lovely cards over at Stamping 411. There are some very clever people out there.

Merry & Type

Hi everyone,

Wow it has been a little while since I have been on here. Don't know how much I will get done over the coming days and weeks as school holidays are about to start and I am determined to actually spend some time with my gorgeous girls being a proper Mummy. I am hoping that I will be able to some crafting for the remainder of the day and night and a bit tomorrow and over the weekend, so I will be able to show you some ideas.

Last night I had my Christmas Stamp A Stack where you get to come along and make 12 Christmas cards. The idea is to have all your Christmas cards made by the beginning of December so you don't have to worry about them. Last night we used the gorgeous set Snow Swirled (click here) to see the cards, along with a new set from the new catalogue called Merry & Type.

I focused on the main bauble image for these cards. I wanted to have different colours for the baubles so I stamped the images several times in the different colours so that I could cut out the extra baubles to stick onto the main card image. I have to apologise for the ribbon. When I made these cards I didn't have any of the new Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon so I used some that I had left over from a couple of years ago. The new Riding Hood Red Taffeta doesn't have the white along the outside of the ribbon.

Happiest Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone,

Thought I would pop by and show you the card I made my Hubby for his Birthday. As I previously mentioned I have great difficulties in making masculine cards.

I am so very thankful that one of the DSP's this year has a real masculine feel. Well Worn it is called and you can get a pack of 12 sheets of DSP for just AU$18.95, (that is only $1.58 a sheet). The colours that go with Well Worn are Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy, Early Espresso, River Rock, Soft Suede and So Saffron - all just gorgeous male colours.

I basically cased this card from the Idea Book & Catalogue. The only thing I would change would be the ribbon. If I had it I would have used Not Quite Navy Taffeta ribbon rather than the 1/4" Early Espresso. I think it would fit in better. Sweets for the Sweet

Hi everyone,

Just a quick one today. I am feeling like crap. Managed to get through winter without a cold and only felt slightly off for one day, but alas spring is now here and I have managed to get a cold. I can't blame it on hay fever as I don't suffer from it.


I thought I would show you a set of cards that I am doing this week in my Stamp A Stack class. If you would like to see the other ones click here.

I decided I wanted to do something a little fun. Now I can't take credit for some of the ideas on these cards. I have CASED at least two from cards I have found that some of the US demos did on the Alaska Cruise.

I am running my class tomorrow night (yes I will be well enough - it is amazing what Codral can do for you) and also on Thursday night. Please contact me if you would like to come along. You get to make 8 cards in total including all product and envelopes for $25 (or $20 if you bring your own adhesive). Everything is pre-cut so all you have to do is stamp and put your cards together.

Posy Punch

Hi everyone,

Firstly let me say a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by my blog over the weekend and to all the lovely comments I got. I have to say that my fellow ESAD ladies are very talented and clever. I certainly have some lovely new ideas to CASE now.

I thought I would pop by and show you another card that I had at my launch party a couple of weeks ago. This was one of the make & takes that the ladies made. It is using one of the new Hostess sets Posy Punch. I love it when a stamp set co-ordinates with our punches and this one co-ordinates beautifully with the Flower Fancy Punch, the 1" Circle Punch and also the 3/4" Circle Punch.

I have used the new 2011-2013 In Colors of Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party and Calypso Coral. Wisteria Wonder works wonderfully well with Elegant Eggplant too. Don't you just love the new Lace Ribbon Border Punch? So delicate.
