As I mentioned yesterday over the days leading up to Christmas I will be showing you some cards and gift ideas I have been working on for Christmas. Now most of what you will be seeing over the next couple weeks you probably have seen whilst you have been 'blurffing' anyway, but these are my take. Where possible I will mention who inspired me and leave a link to their blog. Note I say where possible because I can't always remember where I saw the idea!!!
My offering today is a Swing Card - this is my first attempt at making one. For measurements etc you can go to Splitcoaststampers as they have a really cool tutorial on how to do this. The inspiration for my Swing Card came from Sandi MacIver. Back in November she participated in The Royal Blog Tour and made a beautiful set using Welcome Christmas. Now her projects were Vintage. I have a slight problem doing Vintage - don't know why but here is my take using more traditional colours.
Materials Used - all Stampin' Up! unless otherwise indicated.
Stamps: Welcome Christmas
Paper: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White, Baja Breeze
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive
Other: 1/4" Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon, Big Shot, Petals A Plenty Embossing Folder, Dimensionals, Sticky Dots (the best thing to put ribbon on!!!), Nestabilities Oval's* and Scallop Ovals*Thanks for looking,
'Til next time
Juliette
