Fancy Fold Technique Class

Hi everyone,

As promised here are two of the cards that we will be making at my Fancy Folds class next month (Thursday 11th March and Tuesday 16th March - both at 7.30pm). We are actually making three cards a "Stair Step", "Tri-Shutter", and "Joy Fold". Here I am showing the Stair Step and Tri-Shutter cards.

These cards are more 'blokey' than I normally produce but it is often hard to come up with a masculine card so maybe these will inspire you.
For the Stair Step card I have used the Cake from Fun and Fast notes and coloured it in using my blender pen and ink pads. The first sentiment is from Wow Flowers - a really good buy at only $24.95. The present stamp is from SAB Happy Moments and the back sentiment is from SAB Whimsical Words. I have used Creamy Caramel as my base and used the background stamp Polka Dot with VersaMark. A little Pumpkin Pie and Elegant Eggplant complete the card.

The Tri-Shutter card has been inspired by the fabulous Marelle Taylor. I really love what she did with the Vintage Lables and Windsor Knot DSP, so I had to have a go.

Here is a picture of the inside of the card.

For this card I have used Sage Shadow cardstock, Windsor Knot DSP, along with a  little Chocolate Chip, So Saffron and Old Olive cardstock. The stamps are from SAB Vintage Label. Ink used is Chocolate Chip and a little Old Olive (on the front of the card).

Don't forget to contact me if you would like to book into my class. Once again I am at Bella Vista (Baulkham Hills), and the cost of the class is $18 if you use your own adhesive or $20 if you use mine. For that you will get instructions how to make the cards again and the envelopes to put your cards in.

I am hoping to show you the Joy Fold card tomorrow.

My Nephews' Birthday Cards

Hi everyone,

Thanks to all of you who stopped by my blog on the hop yesterday. Also a big thankyou to those who left comments. It is nice to get comments on your work - something I need to try and make sure I do more of.

Anyway this weekend just gone we celebrated my nephews' birthdays. There is three years difference in age but their birthdays are only two weeks apart - so their Mum and Dad hold a joint family birthday party for them each year.

My eldest nephew has taken a liking to cooking so I bought him some cooking books, an apron and some wooden spoons. That meant that there was only one option for his birthday card and that was to use Voila! This time I have teamed 'my little fat chief' with the sweet treat cups.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Voila
Card: Kraft, Whisper White, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise
Ink: Black Staz On, Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Sahara Sand
Other: Sweet Treat Cups 1 3/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Round Tab Punch Dimensionals.

This next card is for my younger nephew. As I had used Sweet Treat Cups for his big brother I had to do the same for him. I used the standard gumball machine from Something Sweet.

The sentiment is from the SAB set Happy Moments.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Something Sweet, Happy Moments.
Card: Kraft, Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Whisper White.
Ink: Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise, Only Orange, Certainly Celery
Other: 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Small Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Round Tab Punch, Dimensionals.

Hi everyone and welcome to the 2nd Stampersanonymous blog hop. This time we are showcasing stamps from Sale-A-Bration. These stamp sets are free (who doesn't love a freebie?). To qualify you just need to purchase Stampin' Up! product to the value of $100 and you will receive one of 4 stamp sets free. Purchase $200 can get 2 stamp sets free etc. Remember you only have until the 31st March 2010 to get these stamp sets and no they cannot be purchased!!! Contact your demonstrator (or me if you don't have one), to place your order and get these stamps.

You may have arrived here from the fabulous blog of  Marelle Taylor, but if not that is OK you can complete the tour by clicking on the links at the end of each post. There are 9 stops along the way and we hope that you will visit us all and enjoy our creations we have to show you. Please feel free to leave a comment - as we all love comments. So sit back and enjoy the ride.

My first offering to you is using the stamp set Happy Moments. I love this set as it has crisp clean lines and is perfect for getting out your blender pen, Stampin' Write Markers, aqua painter or even your Stamin' Pastels.

Here I have made 4 standard cards using all of the main images.

I also made a tote bag to place the cards in - perfect for a gift.

I stamped the images in Black Staz On and the got out my trusty blender pen and ink pads to colour in the images.

Materiels Used:
Stamp Set: Happy Moments.
Cardstock: So Saffron, Regal Rose, Rose Red, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, Whisper White.
Ink: Regal Rose, So Saffron, Rose Red, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, Black Staz On.
Other: Dimensionals, Large Oval Punch, Small Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Spellbinders.

Next I have used the stamp set Good Neighbours. Now there is so much you can do with this stamp set and I will show you more later in the week but for now here is a small box I have made. I found the instructions on how to make this box at PaperSmiles. It is so cute and easy to make. You can't see it but the handle has been punched using the scallop edge punch. Please forgive the photography but I had no natural light left and the shadows are shocking so I was unable to get a decent picture of the handle. This little box would be great to put a couple of choccies in to welcome the neighbours.

Materiels Used:
Stamps: Good Neighbours
Card stock: Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White.
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss.
Other: 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Dimensionals.

Lastly I have two more cards using the set Whimsical Words. Whilst this set has no pictures the sentiments are fantastic and can be added to many other images that we have in our IB&C. In these cards I have decided to let the sentiments be the focal point of the card. To make the "flower" around the Wide Oval's, I cut a piece of A4 cardstock lengthways - about 2 cm's wide, and then used the Eyelet Border Punch to punch all the way along. I then ran the card through the crimper so that it would be easier to "bend" the card around the oval.

Materiels Used:
Stamps: Whimsical Words
Cardstock: Whisper White, Brocade Blue, Regal Rose, Brocade Blue and Regal Rose DSP from Hostess level one gift.
Ink: Regal Rose, Brocade Blue.
Other: Wide Oval Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Crimper, Dimensionals.

A Rose is a Rose

Hi everyone,

Just a quick one to share a card I have just made. I made it for my SIL's Mum who isn't very well at the moment. She is a special lady and I thought I should make the effort to make something nice.

Well this card uses the stamp set A Rose is a Rose. I have only just aquired this stamp set and I can see a lot more cards being made with it. Just a warning you definitely need your Stamp-a-ma-jig (or stamp positioner) for this set.

Materials Used: (All Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: A Rose is a Rose, Thoughts and Prayers
Card: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Bella Rose DSP
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss
Other: Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Scallop Boarder Punch, Dimensionals.

'Til next time
