Merry Christmas Everyone

Hi everyone,

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all. I just have time to set this post before the Christmas Eve festivities begin. I thought I would show you a couple of boxes that I made for gifts this year.

Here is the first one - a shaker gift card holder (I can't remember where I saw this but I thank you - with all the gift cards I have given this year not one person has realised until they have opened the box what is inside!!!)

The next two pictures show the pizza box style - very simple but effective.

Of course I had to put a Stampin' Up! stamp set in it (this is for my best friend Sam!!!)

Anyway that is it for now - have a great Christmas, take it easy and see you next Year!!!

My BIL's Birthday Card

Hi Everyone,

My BIL has his birthday on the 23rd of December. Normally I have had enough of making stuff (gasp!!! did I actually say that?!?!), well more like I have completly run out of time and he gets a bought birthday card - I know me bad!!!

Anyway I mangaged to do this little card before we went to see them for an early Christmas.

I have used what seems to be a very popular set for 'blokes' - "Seeing Spots". This lovely stamp set is in the Inventory Clearance Sale and is a steal at $22.46 - don't forget to contact me if you want to order it!!! I have also used the very verstatile "Think Happy Thoughts" for the sentiment. On the inside I made a holder to place the gift card that he got from us.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Seeing Spots, Think Happy Thoughts
Card: Brocade Blue, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Ink: Sahara Sand, Brocade Blue, Night of Navy

Christmas presents for Pre-School Teachers

Hi everyone,

It has been a couple of days since my last post. Time is just getting away from me - I finally wrapped up some presents last night (but only because we are going away for a couple of days for an early Christmas!!!).

Anyway I thought I would share with you the gifts that my eldest daughter gave her pre-school teachers.

I made some cool boxes that I found the instructions for on a blog (please forgive me for not acknowledging the very clever person who worked out the sizing for A4 cardstock - if anyone knows the site please let me know and I will acknowledge accordingly).

Here is the inside:-

And here is the Christmas decoration that the teachers received - imagine my surprise when I realised you could use Stazon to stamp on the glass ball!!!

I think the teachers were happy - I was too, as it beat the usual chocolates that they get - and it was really inexpensive.

Anyone for Candy Canes?

Hi everyone,

I had this "great" idea to CASE something from the fabulous Marelle (check out her blog candy canes post here), for my eldest daughers pre-school friends. When I started this little project I forgot that there are 75 little pre-school friends.

Yes here are all 75 Candy Canes.

And here is a close up of the front and back.

I used the stamp set Punch Pals, and then coloured in the trees using a blender pen and Old Olive - now I love colouring but I have to say towards the end I was getting a bit fed up. If I never see another candy cane I will be a happy woman (ok I lie I love candy canes!!!).

The Other project from my 'Welcome to Summer' class

Hi everyone,

Thought I would share the third project that we did in my 'Welcome to Summer'class (the other two can be seen on an earlier post). I have used colours that I would not normally use, but I think I will use them more often.

We made a little holder to put a small pad of paper in (I know my girls are just going to love these - they have their mothers obsession with all things paper LOL!!!). I was originally just going to do the post it note holder that I found on Splitcoast Stampers (and you can check out the tutorial here), but I wanted to include a pen or pencil that was slightly larger than the 'golf' pencils so I just increased the size (13.5cm x 21cm. Score in landscape orientation at 10cm and then 11cm).

Here is the inside.

Materials Used: (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: For everything (from Summer Mini catalogue)
Ink: Black Stazon
Card: Only Orange, Summer Sun, Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise,  Kaleidoscope DSP (from Summer Mini)
Other: 5/8" Whisper White grosgrain ribbon, Summer Sun, Tempting Turquoise, Pixie Pink Stampin' Write Markers.

Marelle's Secret Santa card

Hi everyone,

Finally I have some time to post something. Last Friday we had a team Christmas Party and I had a fabulous time. This year we did a secret santa and Marelle had to draw our names - so naturally she knew who her secret santa was. It was suggested that each of us send our secret santa a card (I will post the one I got from my secret santa tomorrow - only beacuse I haven't taken a picture yet - slack I know!!!). To confuse Marelle many of us also sent her a card. It was funny because when she received the first two she thought that she had accidently given herself two secret santas. Anyway I think by the time the third and fourth ones arrived  I think she decided something was a bit fishy.

Here is my offering to Marelle. - An Easel Card

This is my first attempt an easel card. I really wanted to do one for my 12 cards of Christmas but time ran out. Many of the easel cards I have seen are square. As Stampin' Up! don't have a square envelope I thought I would try and make one that would fit into our standard size envelopes. The main thing you have to remember about easel cards is that the base has to be twice as long as the front so that it will lie flat in the envelope.
To get the base I have cut a piece of  A4 cardstock in half (in portrait orientation) to give me a piece of card that is 10.5cm X 29.6cm. I have then folded that in half to give me a standard sized card 10.5cm X 14.8cm. I have then folded one side at 7.4cm. My front piece of cardstock that attaches to the base is 10.5cm X 14.8cm.

Materials used (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: Circle Circus, Baroque Motifs, Punches Three (Level 1 Hostess), Short and Sweet
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, Baja Breeze
Card: Real Red, Baja Breeze
Other: Dimensionals, Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write

That's it for now. Going to a Playgroup breakfast Christmas Party soon then going to finalise my designs for my class this week (I am really behind!!!), then watch the V8's race around Homebush on TV. What a lovely day!!!

Summer Mini Blog Hop!!!!

Welcome to the Stampers Anonymous SU blog tour! You may have just come from Kirrily Matthews blog, but if you are starting here, don't worry. You can complete the circuit just by following the links at the end of each post. There are 14 stops along the way and we hope that you will visit each one to see the fantastic creations we have to show you!!!

For our first tour we decided to showcase the beautiful new products in the Summer Mini, available to you from December 1st until March 31st 2010 (drop me a line to obtain your Summer Mini catalogue). At the end of each post there will be a link to take you to the next stop on the tour. Feel free to "share the love" and leave a comment (we love comments!!!). Sit back, relax and enjoy!!!

I have three items to show you: -

Above I have used the ever so pretty Butterfly Prints (a steel at $25.95 with 5 stamps!!!). There is also a coordinating Butterfly Punch ($30.95) that means that there was no cutting involved. Got to love that!!!

Materials used: (All Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: Butterfly Prints
Card: Only Orange, Tempting Turquoise, Pixie Pink, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Ink: Only Orange, Tempting Turquoise, Pixie Pink.
Other: Square Scallop Punch, Butterfly Punch, Dimensionals

Next I have continued with my love affair of stamping on candles. This time on tea lights. I came across this idea on a blog called Julia Luvs 2 Stamp. I used the stamp set For Everything ($47.95). This stamp set is one that I just had to have when I saw the catalogue. To get the different colours on the tea lights I used my Stampin' Write markers. The outside of the slider box has an acetate window so that you can see the candles when closed up.

Materials Used (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: For Everything
Card: Tempting Turquoise, Only Orange, Pixie Pink, Whisper White
Ink: None
Other: Tempting Turquoise, Only Orange, Pixie Pink Stampin' Write Markers

This is my final offering. I have several friends having babies at the moment so thought I would use the baby rattle from Somthing Sweet. I decided to make these cards at the last minute so I have to confess that the glitter in the rattle is from my own stash not Stampin' Up! This was also my first attempt at making a shaker card but I am reasonably happy with the way they turned out.

Materials Used: Mostly Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Something Sweet
Card: (for the pink card) Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, (for the blue card) Night of Navy, Brocade Blue, Whisper White
Ink: (for the pink card) Pretty in Pink, (for the blue card), Brocade Blue,
Other: Acetate, the new 1 3/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Mat Pack, White Gel ink pen.

Well, that's all from me. Now you are off to enjoy the wonderful creations of Jennifer Adnitt . Thanks for stopping by!

On the Twelfth Day of Christmas my true love gave to me a lovely stamped Snow Swirled candle

Hi everyone,

Well this is the last of my twelve cards of Christmas (although technically two of the items aren't cards LOL). I hope you have enjoyed looking at my creations and I thank you for checking them out. I have enjoyed making them and am rather sad that they have now finished. I have a heap more ideas so check back during the month of December for some more inspiration.

The candle and box are what you will make in my Christmas project class in December (along with Santa and Rudolph that appeared on day 4). If you are interested please contact me to book in for the class, or if the dates don't suit contact me to arrange a workshop for you and your friends. I think that this candle is elegant and makes for a lovely gift.

You can't see it as it is around the back but the candle has not only been stamped with Night of Navy but has also been embossed in silver. I have used Snow Swirled again for the snow flakes. They are just so elegant. The box is Night of Navy stamped with Whisper White Kraft ink - you have to make sure that it is completely dry before making the box LOL. The box is topped here with 1/4" Whisper White grosgrain ribbon and once again you can't see it but the top of the box has been stamped as well. The window in the box is using the Curly Label Punch

Materials Used (all Stampin' Up apart from the candle!!!)
Stamps: Snow Swirled
Card: Night of Navy
Ink: Versamark, Night of Navy
Other: Silver embossing powder, 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain ribbon, Curly Label Punch

Well that's it for now. Check back in a couple of days for the much anticipated Summer Mini Blog hop. I can't wait.

On the Eleventh Day of Christmas my true love gave to me a "Snow Swirled: acetate card

Hi Everyone,

Every time I see an acetate card I think how beautiful and elegant. I have seen some lovely ones recently. The very talented Teneale Williams and equally talented Marelle Taylor have got some beautiful ones on their blogs. (Check them out by clicking on the hyper links).

Anyway seeing that theirs used the Christmas Tree from Snow Swirled I thought I would try one with just the snow flakes. It seems very strange having snow flake cards at this time of the year (especially as we have been sweltering in heat that has been nearly 40 degrees Celsius or 104 in the old scale).

Using white stazon and the medium snow flake I stamped the acetate. I then used Versamark to stamp two large snow flakes on Whisper White and then heat embossed them using silver embossing powder. The mat is Baja Breeze (again! LOL I think it is my favorite In Colour). The ribbon is 1/4" Whisper White grosgrain.

Materials Used (all Stampin' Up apart from the acetate)
Stamps: Snow Swirled
Card: Whisper White, Baja Breeze
Ink: White Stazon, Versamark
Other: Silver embossing powder, 1/4" Whisper White grosgrain.

On the Tenth Day of Christmas my true love gave to me a cute little penguin card

Hi everyone,

I just love these cute little guys. Penguins are sooo adorable. These little guys are from Punch Pals. I stamped them using black Stazon. I have then coloured them using my blender pen and ink pads. The sign post has been made using the Christmas Tree trunk and then using my Real Red Stampin' write (only because we don't have one in Riding Hood Red) to colour in the sentiment I wanted. I punched it out using the Word Window Punch. The Baja Breeze mat has been made using the Square Scallop Punch. I am finding that punch is becoming more and more useful everyday!!!

Materials Used (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: Punch Pals
Card: Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White
Ink: Black Stazon, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie
Other: Word Window Punch, Square Scallop Punch, Real Red Stampin' Write

On the Ninth Day of Chrismtas my true love gave to me "some Christmas baubles" card

Hi everyone,

Guess what only one month until Christmas. I hope you are all further along with your Christmas shopping than I am.

This card doesn't look as good here as it does sitting on my desk. The photography leaves a lot to be desired.

To create the baubles I have just punched out on scrap two 1 3/8" circles. Then lying them on my Whisper White I have used my daubers to ink one hole in Baja Breeze and the other in Riding Hood red. Using the swirl from Spotlight on Christmas I have then stamped in opposite colours onto the bauble leaving my mask in place. To create the circle to stamp on I used my Nestabilities Large Circles. I am really looking forward to the summer mini coming out so that I don't have to resort to using something non Stampin' Up! to get this effect. The sentiment is from Snow Swirled and has been stamped using Riding Hood Red - I think it would look better though in white.

Materials Used (all Stampin' Up! except the Nestabilities)
Stamps: Spotlight on Christmas, Snow Swirled
Card: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red
Ink: Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red
Other: Riding Hood Red 5/8" Stripped Grosgrain Ribbon.

On the Eighth Day of Christmas my true love gave to me a "punch art poinsettia" card

Hi everyone,

This is offering number 8. Here I have just used the 5 Petal Flower Punch and punched out three flowers in Real Red and three in Old Olive. I have then scored down the centre of the petals on the Real Red flowers and folded them up. Popped a medium sized clear rhinestone brad through the centre of the flowers to join them together and then used a dimensional to adhere to the Chocolate Chip. The Real Red scallop edging around the Chocolate Chip has been done with the Square Scallop punch. The sentiment is from Level 1 hostess "Best Yet" which has been stamped in Chocolate Chip then punched out using the Large Oval Punch and mounted onto the Real Red Scallop Oval.

Materials Used (all Stampin' Up)
Stamps: Best Yet (Hostess Level 1)
Card: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip
Other: 5 Petal Flower Punch, Scallop Square Punch, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Clear Rhinestone Brads, Dimensionals

On the Seventh Day of Christmas my true love gave to me a "Season of Joy" card

Hi everyone,

This card is one that I made for a Stamp a Stack I held last week. I decided that it needed to be easy (like all of my cards LOL), as the people attending had never stamped before. I have to say they did a fantastic job and I hope to see them back again soon.

My two daughters love pink and purple so I thought I would make a card out of Lovely Lilac and Pixie Pink. I inked up the stamp in Pixie Pink and then used a cotton bud (Q tip) to remove the Pixie Pink off the poinsettia's. I then used my Lovely Lilac Stampin' write maker to colour them in. The snow flake in the middle of the word "joy" is actually the small snow flake from Snow Swirled punched out with the 1/2" Circle Punch and popped on a dimensional. This is a very basic way of altering the stamp which in itself is lovely. There are many otherways you could do it including putting brads on it or colouring each section in a different colour with the Stampin' writes.

The base card has  been stamped with the snow flake and poinsettia from the stamp set in lovely lilac just to give it a bit more to look at.

Materials used (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamp: Season of Joy, Snow Swirled
Card: Lovely Lilac, Pixie Pink, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White.
Ink: Lovely Lilac, Pixie Pink.
Other: Dimensionals, Lovely Lilac Stampn' Write

On the Sixth Day of Christmas my true love gave to me a "Christmas Classics Christmas Tree" Card

Hi Everyone,

By now I am on holidays at lovely Port Stephens for a week and I am hoping that the remaining 12 cards of Christmas are coming onto my Blog as scheduled. Having to get all the cards completed before going on holidays has been a challenge especially as daughter number 2 is getting cranky that Mummy isn't playing with her. I have promised that both daughters will have my undivided attention next week!!!

I am very happy the way this card has turned out. I know that I have used the same Christmas colours as yesterdays card but as Hubby says. Red and Green are the true colours of Christmas.

Here I have used Christmas Classics again. When I bought this set I wasn't too sure how I was going to use it but I attended a Stamp a Stack with the lovely and talented Marelle Taylor (you should check out her 12 cards of Christmas they are gorgeous!!!), and one of the sets of cards used this stamp set. I have used her technique to give the tree a bit off a pop off the card. I inked the tree up using Old Olive and then used a cotton bud or Q tip to remove the ink off the star and also off the trunk. I then coloured the star in Real Red using my Stampn' write marker and the trunk in Chocolate Chip using the same method. I then stamped the whole lot onto the scallop edge diamond. I then reinked the tree in Old Olive and stamped it onto a piece of scrap Whisper White. Using my trusty sissors I then cut out the middle and then the bottom section of the tree. Using some SNAIL and Dimensionals I have attached the tree sections onto the original tree. The scallop edge diamond that the tree has been stamped on is from a tutorial I found on Splitcoast Stampers.

The base Real Red card stock has been stamped with the Holly stamp in Versa Mark. I attached a strip of Ski Slope DSP. Made another diamond scallop, slightly larger,  in Old Olive to use as my mat and hey presto you have nice looking card. The sentiment is from the same stamp set stamped in Old Olive and  punched out with the Large Oval and popped onto the Scallop Oval.

Materials (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: Christmas Classic
Card: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White, Ski Slope DSP
Ink: Versamark, Real Red, Old Olve
Other: Dimensionals, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch.

On the Fifth Day of Christmas my true love gave to me a "Snow Swirled" Christmas Tree Card

Hi everyone,

This would have to be my absolute favorite Christmas stamp set - Snow Swirled. It is gorgeous and so elegant, also it has two lovely sentiments included. Be prepared to see a couple more cards using this set before I complete my 12 cards of Christmas.

Here I have just stamped the tree in Real Red onto Whisper White Card stock. I have then used the smallest snow flake to make my baulbles and stamped it in Old Olive onto scrap Whisper White. I then punched out the 6 snow flakes I stamped with the 1/2" Circle punch. I used my dauber to sponge around the snow flakes in Old Olive and then stuck them onto the tree. The top snow flake has been popped onto a dimensional. I have then layed the Whisper White onto a mat of Old Olive that has been punched at one end with the Scallop edge punch. This has then all been mounted onto a card of Real Red. The sentiment which is also from Snow Swirled has been stamped using White Kraft directly onto the Real Red cardstock.

Materials used (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: Snow Swirled
Card: Real Red, Old Olive and Whisper White.
Ink: Real Red Classic, Old Olive Classic, Whisper White Kraft.
Other: 1/2" Circle Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Dimensionals

On the Fourth Day of Christmas my true love gave to me "Santa and Rudolph Treat Boxes"

Hi everyone,

OK so they are technically not cards - but they are very cute and easy to make. In fact if you live in the Hills area and would like to come and make these cute fellows I am teaching how to make them (along with a Christmas candle and box) on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd December from 7.30pm. Cost is $15.00. If you would like to attend please email me at juleskraftikrafts@gmail.com.

There is a lot of punch art on various blogs at the moment and I can see why - whilst this is not something I would normally do, I do love my punches so it makes sense to see what else you can do with them.

On the Third day of Christmas my true love gave to me a starry "Christmas Classics" card

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't posted until now but I have been busy with dear friend who wanted to do some crafting today. Her daughter is my eldest daughters best friend and they are so gorgeous together.

Anyway here is my offering to you. I have used the Christmas Classics and just used the lovely star. This star is so versatile that it can be used for a lot of different cards - hmm I can see a male card coming up soon using it. Anyway... I stamped it in Versamark on the Baja Breeze cardstock and then stamped it again in Baja Breeze on Whisper White. I then stamped two stars in Real Red on a scrap of Whisper White and used the Star Punch to punch them out and popped them onto Dimensionals and then stuck them to the card. Finally I mounted the Whisper White onto a mat of Real Red and hey presto a quick and easy card. The card actually needed a sentiment so I went to Punch Pals and used my Real Red Stampn' Write to ink up one of the sentiments Merry Christmas. Punched it out using the Word Window Punch. The sentiment in turn needed a mat so I used my Square Scallop to create the mat you see. Hey Presto a Chrissy card done in approx 10 to 15 minutes.

On the Second day of Christmas my true love gave to me a "Spot light on Christmas" square card

Here is the second of my 12 cards of Christmas. Whilst I have been blog hopping I have stumbled upon some very simple cards that look very effective. Unfortunately I can't remember the blogs but I thank you for your inspiration. Here in Australia we don't have the stamp set that this card has been inspired by but I had a thought and realised that the square stamp from "Spot light on Christmas" would work. I have basically just stamped 9 squares - 5 in Real Red and 4 in Old Olive and then punched them out with the 1 1/4" square punch. How easy but effective. No need to put a sentiment on it as there is no room and it would spoil the effect.

Materials Used (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: Spot light on Christmas
Card: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White.
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive

On the First day of Christmas my true love gave to me a "Tree Trimmings" Christmas Card

Welcome to my 12 cards of Christmas. I have been busy trying to work out what works, what doesn't and trying not to have too many of the same stamp set appearing.

So here is my first card made with the Tree Trimmings set (which unfortunately is only available to order until the end of this month). I have embossed all of the baubles and cut them out. The middle one has been popped onto a dimensional to bring it off the page.

Materials Used (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamps - Tree Trimmings and Best Yet (hostess level 1 gift)
Card - Night of Navy, Brocade Blue and Whisper White
Ink - Night of Navy, Versa Mark
Other - White Embossing powder, Gold Embossing powder, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Dimensionals and Night of Navy Stampn' Write

Oops made a mistake

Hi everyone,

Just an amendment to my post yesterday about my classes for the Christmas Candles. I forgot I am unavailable on the 4th December in the evening. I have my team Christmas party with my wonderful upline Marelle  - I can't believe I forgot (sorry). The class in the morning is still on - if you need to bring children to attend a class during the day that is OK. My house is set up for kids!!!

I will let you know the correct date for the evening class shortly. Once again sorry.

Christmas Candles

Hi there,

Well I have decided to jump on the band wagon and have a play at creating some Christmas Candles. They are super easy to do and very effective. I am thinking, make a nice box put a candle in and hey presto you have a nice unique gift to give to teachers, neighbours even those hard to buy for Aunties!!! Whilst I think of it what a cool class to run next month. So why not join me on the 4th December for either the morning (10.30am to 12.30pm) or evening (7.30pm to 9.30pm). Cost is $15.00 including the candle. If you want to book in you know what to do. Email me at juleskraftikrafts@gmail.com. Places are limited to 8 so make your booking today.

Here is another view of the Snow Flake one (imagine my surprise when I realised that I could emboss it!!)

Materials used (apart from the candles, tissue paper and wax paper) all Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Snow Swirled
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive, Versa Mark
Card: None
Other: Sliver embossing powder, heat tool.

Till next time,

The reason for not being creative

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share with you the reason for no creative inspiration. This weekend was my eldest daughters dance concert and  it was her first. Although she has been dancing since last year - she was not able to perform in last years concert for reasons I won't go into. Those that know me understand the reason.

Anyway this year I was lucky enough to be able to assist back stage. I have to say the dance teachers at Lara's dance school Tania's Strictly Dancing are amazing. Everything went so smoothly, and they are amazingly patient with girls that are so excited, who can't wait to go on stage, and who don't know the meaning of the word "quiet"!

Anyway here is a picture of my precious Lara all dressed up and waiting to go:

And here is a picture of her dance class:

Now that is all over for the year I am now ready to get the creative juices flowing again. Hopefully I will have something different for you soon.

That's all for now

Season of Joy

Hi again,

More christmas cards (well it is the season for it!!!). This time I have used the ever so versatile Season of Joy stampset. So many possibilities with this set that I could spend the rest of this pre-christmas rush playing with it - but then I wouldn't get to play with all the other lovely stamp sets that my hubby has bought me.

This time I have chosen non traditional Christmas colours. Both of my girls love pink and purple - what little girl doesn't? So I just had to have a go with Lovely Lilac and Pixie Pink - throw in a little Chocolate Chip and you get the following:-

and

Materials Used: - all Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Season of Joy, Best Yet (Level 1 hostess)
Ink: Lovely Lilac, Pixie Pink
Card: Whisper White, Lovely Lilac, Pixie Pink, Chocolate Chip
Other: Eyelet Border Punch, Designer Lable, Punch, Oval Scallop Punch (really going to miss not being able to use it at the end of the month), 1/2" Circle Punch, Dazzling Diamonds glitter (although it doesn't show up too well in the photos).

'Til next time

Snow Swirled - sunny Australia?!?!

Well, finally after being on back order, I have managed to have a play with Snow Swirled. Seems like a strange stamp set to use in sunny Australia but it is an incredibly "pretty" stamp set.

I am not too sure about these cards. When I first envisioned them I thought I would try them in non traditional Christmas colours - but my eldest daughter told me to use red and green.  I should have sponged around the baubles on the Christmas tree but there is always next time. You may have already noted I am not one to over embellish my cards. I like simple and something that doesn't take to long to create, and also something that new stampers would feel comfortable doing.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up
Stamps: Snow Swirled, Baroque Motifs, Tree Trimmings (only available for another month from our Spring Mini)
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive
Card: Whisper White, Real Red, Old Olive
Other: 1/2" circle punch, Wide Oval punch, Large Oval Punch, Designer Label Punch, Scallop Circle Punch and Scallop edge punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

Setting up my Stampin' Up! website and class timetable

Well here in Australia we are very happy to finally have access to our very own Stampin' Up! Demonstrator website. This means that along with our Blogs we have the ability to reach further a field.

I have spent the best part of this evening organising my classes for the next month and a half. Please go to my website to check out my class list. If anything there interests you please book in for a class. Over the next couple of days (and possibly weeks  - well more so for the Welcome to Summer class), I will have samples of what we will be doing in my classes. I really hope you can make it to one.

For now I am going to have some dinner and then get on with some creating. Hope to be back tomorrow.

Reverse Spotlighting

I haven't had time to do much lately - the girls have been keeping me busy. I don't know how the other demo's do it. Looking after their family, creating and actually running classes and workshops!!! I was checking out splitcoaststampers late last week and came upon a tutorial for Reverse Spotlighting. Never one to not try new things, well when it comes to creating, I thought I would give it a go. I am happy with the result.

What do you think? I am going to give it a go next time with a Christmas theme (if I get time to!!!)

Stamps: Great Friend (116889) from Spring Mini
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss
Card: Whipser White, Pretty in Pink, Kiwi Kiss
